Tom “Tommy” D. Knouff, age 69, of Massillon passed away on September 15, 2021 after his 21 year journey with C.L. Leukemia and Heart Disease has now ended. Tom never complained and led a very active life and never let his health define him. He was born in Canton on May 21, 1952 to the late John and Wilma (Heskett) Knouff. He was a 1970 graduate of Louisville High School. He married Marsha Hefling on September 19, 1980 and they shared 45 years together. Tom served his country in the U.S. Army. After military policeman service, he worked for the Timken Company, retiring as an Analyst after 37 years. He owned and operated a local D.J. business for 29 years. He attended First United Methodist Church of Massillon. -Since 2000 he was the founder and president of CHARM (Central Historic Area Residents of Massillon). -Since 2006 was a part of multiple network organizations for his D.J. Business. - Avid antique collector for over 40 years. -He enjoyed photography with the Canal Fulton Camera Club. -A member of his 1970 class reunion committee. -Drove limousines for 5 years prior to starting his D.J. business. Tom believed in the concept of “Paying it Forward” and was willing to help anyone in need. He is survived by his wife Marsha; his son Adam Knouff; his brother Brian (Jen Brandow) Knouff and sister-in-laws Marcia Knouff, Marylou Hefling; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his twin brothers, who died shortly after birth; his brother Bill Knouff ; his favorite Mother-in-Law Mae Hefling, and his brother-in-law Ken Hefling. Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 and the concern by the family of people getting sick, the service will be live streamed here at 11a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021. The family with hold a public celebration of Tom’s life at a later date and will be updated on this website when times become available.
