Todd Kester

Todd Kester, 75, of Perry Heights, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Todd was born on March 14, 1946, in Massillon, the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Wiggins) Kester. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1967 graduate of Washington High School. Todd worked as a mechanic for Midstate Equipment Co. and retired in 1989. He worked for Rohr’s Towing as well. Todd will be remembered as the best father and baseball coach ever, as well as a hero. He taught his player’s “respect”. He was a hard worker and would help anyone he could. He was also a very patient man. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Terry Kester. He is survived by his loving wife Linda (Herron) Kester whom he shared 54 years of marriage; children, Mark (Cathy) Kester, Missy (Shane McCreary) Kester, and Gina (Jesse) Yorty; grandchildren, Kyle (Madison) Kester, Amanda (Phil) Renicker, Jordan (Chris) Cash, Carter Kester, Landyn Yorty, Ezri Yorty, and Skyler and Klhoe McCreary; and great-grandchildren, Phillip, Lemmy, Kambry and 1 coming. A Celebration of Todd’s life will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 – 7 p.m. before the service.
