Timothy Wayne Cottrill

Timothy Wayne Cottrill, 55, passed away, on January 10, 2015, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Marietta on June 7, 1959 to the late Edward and Emojene Cottrill. Tim graduated from Tuslaw High School in 1978 while holding the Undefeated State Championship Title in Wrestling. He was dedicated to his wrestling and was always very proud of this accomplishment. Over the years, he also developed a strong talent for woodworking and engraving, and would pride himself on the creations he made for his wife and family. He enjoyed being outdoors tending to his garden, messing with the car, or just sitting in the garage with his son thinking about his next project, and there were many! Tim was also a dedicated, loving, caring, thoughtful husband, father and grandfather who wanted nothing more than to be able to be there for his family in any way that he could. He never worried about money or the large stuff in life; rather, he was a simple man who treasured even the smallest things in life because he knew in his heart that those were the most important things. We ask that you remember Tim as the kind, strong, funny, stubborn, and hardheaded man that he was because he would not want it any other way. He is survived by his wife, Christina Cottrill, whom he married on December 27, 2007; two daughters, Nickole (David) Cottrill of Canal Fulton and Michele (Dwight) Kellicker of Massillon; a son Timothy Wayne Cottrill, Jr. of Massillon; three step-children, Ashley, Shelby and Noah Jaberg all of Massillon; five grandchildren, Krysta, Dominick, Jayden, Acacia and Jensen; and two brothers, Edward Cottrill of Massillon and Don (Rachelle) Russ, Jr. of Magnolia. Tim is also preceded in death by two brothers, Worthy Cottrill and Leroy Cottrill. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:00AM in the Paquelet Funeral Home. Burial will be in Newman Cemetery.
