Timothy L. Casapini

Timothy L. Casapini, age 58 of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 12, 2013. He was born on December 11, 1954 in LaRochelle, France and was the son of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Kovatch) Casapini. Following his graduation from Jackson High School in 1973, Tim enlisted in The U.S. Air Force and served his country from 1973-76. He then re-enlisted in the U.S Army from 1977-81. After his stints in the service, he enrolled in nursing school from 1982-85, but before getting his degree, he joined the Massillon Police Department and served the city for 22 years. Tim enjoyed walking, traveling, hunting and fishing. He attended First Baptist Church in Massillon. He is survived by his wife, Hella (Flickinger) Casapini, whom he married on October 15, 1976, his brothers, Michael (Cynthia) Casapini and Andrew Casapini, his sister Cynthia (Don) Fahrni, many nieces and nephews and brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws in Germany. Also surviving is his best friend, Jerry Ryan. A service to celebrate his life will take place on Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Alber officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends that day from 4-7 P.M.
