Timothy G. Evans

Timothy G. Evans, (1956-2017) age 61, entered Heaven singing again on November 15th after a 20 year battle with ALS. He was born in Massillon on June 6, 1956 to Gordon and Naomi Evans. He graduated from Tuslaw High School and Stark Tech. He worked as a project manager/estimator for various construction companies and finished his career at Knoch Corporation. He was an active member at Calvary Baptist Church, serving in numerous leadership positions, his favorite being Choir Director, Worship Song Leader and Youth Leader where he led them on several short term mission trips. He loved traveling, camping and music. He previously was a member of the Canton Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Gideons International and his Christian band “Forgiven”. Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Vicki (Corban) Evans, mother Naomi Cottrell, brother Dave (Ellie) Evans, 4 brothers-in-law, 5 sisters-in-law, 13 nieces and nephews, 23 great nieces and nephews and another on the way. He was preceded in death by his father Gordon and stepfather Phillip Cottrell. A special thank you to Alan, Nicole, Jenn and Marie from Aultman Hospice for the fine care they provided. The family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Church, 11616 Sinclair SW, Massillon on Monday from 4-6 PM with the service to follow at 6:00 PM with his pastor, Tim Mishler officiating.
