Thomas "Tom" Eugene Lindsey

Thomas E. Lindsey, age 87, passed away on September 06, 2015. He was born on March 25, 1928 to the late George and Cecilia (Meyer) Lindsey. He graduated from Washington High School in 1945. He married Elizabeth Benish on June 07, 1947 and they shared 59 years until her passing on January 24, 2007. Tom worked as an executive at the Hoover Company until his retirement. He and Liz enjoyed traveling and playing golf in their spare time. He marshaled at the Firestone Golf Tournement for many years. He was a devoted husband and father. Tom is survived by his children Tom E. Lindsey II and Kathy (Kirk) Schueller; his grandchildren Dr. Michelle (Bob) Lindsey, Lindsey (Eric) Larson, Joseph (Elaine) Schueller, Christopher Lindsey and Jonathan (Kara) Lindsey; great grandchildren Lennon, Abigail, Alexander and Ella, a brother Bill Lindsey and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Miller. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1 P.M. Father Raymond Paul will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 12 to 12:45PM.
