Thomas J. Martin

Thomas J. Martin, 50 of Massillon, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017. He was born on November 29, 1966 in Massillon and was the son of Charles and Vera (Pavkov) Martin. Tom was a 1985 graduate of Tuslaw High School where he lettered in football and track. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a longtime lodge member at The Sons and Daughters of Herman. Tom was always willing to open his house to family and friends for any occasion. Everyone who met Tom always enjoyed the time they spent with him and Tom enjoyed making those he cared about laugh. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Martin and his sister Maryann Martin. Tom is survived by his son Justin (Ashley) Geisinger, his daughter Emily Martin, his mother, Vera Martin, and his siblings, Cindy (Don) Harwig, Sue (Bob) Princehorn, Cathy (Mike) Peters, Becky (Bob) Frost, Chuck (Amy) Martin, John Martin and Connie (Mark) Slezak. A service to celebrate Tom’s life will take place on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday (TONIGHT) from 5-8 pm and on Tuesday from 10-11 am.
