Thomas “Tom” Frygier passed away peacefully 12/29/2017 at the age of 74 at Massillon Hospital (Affinity) with his family by his side. He grew up in the Slovak Village area of Cleveland. After graduating from John Adams High School he entered the Air Force. Tom's years of service were spent in England and Okinawa, reaching the rank of Air Policeman PAFSC. His years of service were from 1962 to 1966. He started his life in Massillon, Ohio in 1966. His working career started with Ohio Bell, changing to AT&T, retiring from Lucent in 1999. His service required in home work, climbing many poles and around numerous areas of the Massillon schools, The Republic Steel plants and Timken Company plants. Uncle Tom to family and friends. Tom is proceeded in death by his parents Thadeus (Ted) and Stella (Felong) Frygier, sister Marlene Scheutz and brother-in-law Donald J. Olszewski Sr. He is survived by sister Jeannette Olszewski; nephews Donald J. Olszewski Jr., Eric Olszewski (Kathy), Christopher S. Olszewski & Barry A. Olszewski (Margaret); loving niece Emma Olszewski, and niece Michelle {(Scheutz ) Jim} Ferricci and family. All of us grew up throughout the 1960's, 1970's & 1980's with Uncle Tom intimately in our lives. We are thankful for the time spent hanging out, fishing at Willowdale Lake, golfing at the Lyons Den, playing blackjack at the Firemans Festival, going to Cedar Point, celebrating with a load of fireworks on the 4th of July, remodeling, painting hanging wall paper and just about anything else that has helped us grow into the men we are. We are grateful for you time, kindness, love and consistency.A gathering will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, Ohio on Thursday January 4, 2018 from 4 -6 PM with a short blessing at 6 PM. www.paquelet.com
