Thomas H. Ehmer

Thomas H. Ehmer, age 69 of Massillon, died on Monday, September 21, 2009 at his home. He was born on October 24, 1939 in Massillon and was the son of the late Harold & Mae (Clapper) Ehmer. He was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School where he played football and tennis. He retired at the age of 62 after a long career as an insurance agent and tax planner. He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Judith (Huth) Ehmer and his brother William Ehmer. He will be sadly missed by his sons, Mark Ehmer of Massillon, Michael Ehmer of Canton, Martin (Robin) Ehmer of Massillon and Thomas H. Ehmer II of Bellefontaine, OH, his grandchildren, Ryan, Evan & Jessie Ehmer of Massillon and Ashleigh Ehmer of Bellefontaine, OH, his sister Ann Coulter of Massillon, his brother Robert Ehmer of Massillon and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his stepsons, Scott and David Huth both of Massillon and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Fr. Thomas Cebula officiating. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery.
