Thomas E. Gang, Sr., 83, of Navarre, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2024 with his wife and family by his side. Thomas was born on July 26, 1940 in Canton, Ohio the son of the late Clement and Lucille Gang.
Tom was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Central Catholic High School. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army National Guard, he worked 41- 1/2 years at the Timken Roller Bearing Company. Following his retirement he restored his 1950 GMC pick-up truck to original condition. He and his wife Gracie enjoyed showing their truck at car shows and cruise - ins where they achieved numerous trophies and awards. They spent countless hours supporting their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren growing throughout their lives. Tom had been thriving for more than a year with his newfound friends at Rock Steady Boxing and Speak OUT, both Parkinson's related programs. He was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish - St. Clement's Catholic Church - Navarre.
He is survived by his loving wife, Grace A. Gang whom he shared 63 wonderful years of marriage; children, Lesa (Andrew) R. Hiben, Lori (Ron) Kumpus, and Thomas Gang, Jr.; grandchild, Andrew (Mark) Hiben, Natasha (Chris) Kessler, Megan (Jeremy) Laubacher, Molly (Joshua) Lonca, and Zachary (Maggie) Gang; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Addison and Anderson Kessler, Piper and Ethan Laubacher and Oliver, Hazel and Henry Lonca; siblings, Clem Gang, Jr., Joe (Susie) Gang, Rose (John) Thomas, Josephine Brown, Roberta (Hobert) Harmon, Kate Brennan, Jerry(Stokes) Pitman, and Margie (Terry) Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bob Gang and sister Sue Tormasi.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aultman Hospice and Palliative Care, especially nurses Gretchen and Amy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10 am - 12:30 pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm at Holy Family Parish - St. Clement Catholic Church in Navarre. Fr. Kevin Peters Officiating. Burial will follow at St. Clement Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either Rock Steady Boxing, 1240 Dueber Avenue, Canton , OH 44706 or Wishes Can Happen, Inc., P.O. Box 9428 Canton, OH 44711.
