Thomas E. Caswell, age 76 of Canton, went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 25, 2006 at Aultman Hospital after a brave battle with a lengthy illness. He was born on May 25, 1930 in Rochester, NY and was the son of the late Alverde & Victoria Caswell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a faithful and loyal member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle. He retired from the Timken Company in 1992 and enjoyed fishing, hunting and craft making during his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather to his family. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Catherine, 4 sisters, Jane, Jennie, Gladys & Betty, 3 brothers, Earl, Buster & Clarence and a grandson Derick Caswell. Thomas is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Earlene, 4 sons, Carl, Jerry, Tommy & David Caswell, 5 stepsons, Harold (Helena), Jimmy (Vicki), David (Jackie), Kevin Johnson & Fuller Smith, 2 daughters, Vicki (Tim) Durben & Barbara Caswell, 3 stepdaughters, Marilora (Booker) Redrick, Kathy (Archie) Snyder & Karen Johnson, sister Eleanor Dickinson, 29 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, brothers in law , sisters in law and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. His kindness will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held at the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Harold Strange will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. and on Wednesday one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle’s Building Fund in memory of Thomas E. Caswell.
