Thomas C. Flood, 65, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22. 2013, following an extended illness. He was born on January 3, 1948 in Massillon to the late James H. Flood and Mary (Paterson) Flood. Tom graduated from Jackson High School and received his Bachelors of Science in Business Management from Kent State University. He worked for the Hoover Company, UC Industries and then as an independent contractor. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Tom was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a friend of Bill W.. Throughout Tom's life he enjoyed remodeling homes and model trains. His life was dedicated to his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Sandra D. (Lello) Flood; their children Tom (Beena) Flood and Kimberly (Joshua) Leeser both of Akron; grandchildren Abby and Jude Leeser; brothers Jim (Patty) Flood of Stow and John (Pat) Flood of Centerville; sister-in-law Cathy (Rick) Hopkins; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday, December 29. 2013 from 2:00PM-4:00PM.Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 9:00AM Tuesday, December 31, 2013 to process to the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery for a graveside service at 11:00AM, with Fr. John Tully, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer Association.
