Thomas Basham

Thomas E. Basham Sr., 58, of Perry Twp. passed away Friday July 3, 2009 at Aultman Hospital. He was born January 9, 1951 in Ellison, WV the son of Carlos and Lola (Cox) Basham. He was a 1969 graduate of Washington High School. Thomas was a former vice president of operations for Cecchini Enterprises. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Diane (Hartwick). Also surviving is his mother Lola of Massillon; children Heidi Basham, Tim (Tracey) Patterson, Michelle (Mike) Meyer, and Thomas (Jessica) Basham Jr. all of Canton; eleven grandchildren; brother Robert (Marcia) Basham of Canal Fulton; sister Karen (Jim) Bradshaw of Massillon. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos, and one brother James Fred Basham. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE.
