Terri Jo "Dodie" Snyder

On Wednesday, September 21st, 2022, Terri Jo “Dodie” Snyder, was unexpectedly reunited with

her mother and father while continuing on her path of strength and perseverance. Those who

knew her well could tell you she lived with a fire that was inextinguishable. She worked at a

variety of local jobs, however she mostly enjoyed working at and becoming owner of

SportSStuf, a family owned business that took pride in selling Massillon Tiger apparel and doing

local embroidering. She also enjoyed working at PetSmart and Buehlers in Massillon. Dodie

was a staunch animal lover, and she loved spending time with her dogs and rabbits. After a

tumultuous health scare three years ago, Dodie’s tenacity was on full display as she beat all

odds and was able to continue her zest for life. This led to a new appreciation of life, one in

which it became her mission to make sure her family and friends knew how much she loved

them. She absolutely adored her two grandchildren and did everything she could to watch them

play sports and at school events.

She was born on August 21, 1960 in Massillon, Ohio and was preceded in death by her parents

Terry and Patricia (Kirven) Dray. She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Dray and

Melissa (Gerlich) Snyder; beloved daughter Lindsay Snyder (Chris Obradovich); boyfriend Darin

Speicher; sister Cathy (Rod) Kauffman; sister Cindy (Randall) Gottfried; sister Melissa (John)

Hardesty; honorary mother Cecily Dray, two grandchildren Colton and Camden Snyder, and

countless other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours will be held at the

Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd NE, on Thursday, September 29th from

5:00pm-7:00pm. Because of her fierce devotion to animals, the family requests that in lieu of

flowers, donations be made to the Stark County Humane Society in her name.
