Teresa (Medure) Shultz, age 77 of Massillon, died Monday evening at Akron General Medical Center. She was born on August 30, 1930 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Dominic and Antoinette (Surace) Medure. She was a lifelong area resident. She had been employed at the Timken Company, at the former Central States Can and was a licensed realtor since 1973. She had many years of successful sales, ranging from her and her father’s farm produce to frozen novelties. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church and had past associations with St. Joseph, St. Mary’s and St. Clement’s Catholic Churches. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Shultz on October 6, 1975, her brothers, infant John, Paul and Anthony Medure and her sisters, Antoinette Medure, Katherine (Medure) Beebe and Mary (Medure) Codispoti. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Coletta & Lonny Ward of Massillon, her sons, Roderick F. Shultz and Robert E. Shultz of Massillon, her grandchildren, Keith & Linsey Ward and step granddaughter Lisa Snyder. Also surviving are her sister, Concetta (Medure) Profant of Massillon and her brothers, Frank (Theresa) Medure of Hanoverton, Ohio, Dominic (Dorothy) Medure, Jr. of Massillon and Joseph Medure of Navarre and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Cebula officiating. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery.
