Teresa A. Ray

Teresa Ann Ray, 65, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2022 at Aultman Orrville Hospital. She was born on August 1, 1957 in Athens, OH. to the late Charles and Freda (Kirkpatrick) Smith She married Michael Ray on August 29, 1992 and they were together until his passing November 24, 2019.

Teresa worked as a Special Needs Caregiver for Siffrin and Apple Creek Developmental Center. She was an avid Cleveland Browns and Massillon Tigers fan. Teresa enjoyed Bingo, playing Euchre, but most importantly being a grandma and spending time with her family. In her younger years she competed in Drag Races in her 1982 Z28 Chevy Camaro and won 2 trophies until she ripped the rear end out of it. She was known as a kind-hearted, giving person who loved to laugh.

Teresa is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer (Charles Ware) R. Davis, Julie (Bill Yoho) L. Davis, Michelle Schneier (Ray) and Monica D. Ray; her grandchildren Tyler, Morgan, Hayley, Dylan, Chloe, Maliyah, Treyvon, Gracelyn, Eniyah, Cameron, Liam, Emilee, Gianna; her great-granddaughter Maella; her siblings Mark (Terry) Smith and Tammy (Emilios) Kisgeropoulos; her best friend Becky Bush and a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Brenda Johnson.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, in Massillon, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5p.m. until the time of the service.
