Tary Marcum Vance, 84, of Canal Fulton, OH passed from this life June 18, 2009. Tary was born January 13, 1925 at Parkers Creek in Wayne County, WV, a son of the late James A. Vance Sr. and Sarah (Moore) Vance. He retired from Republic Steel, Enduro Division, and was a member of the Philadelphia United Baptist Church in Lavalette, WV, attended Good News United Baptist Church of Orrville, OH. Also preceding him in death was a grandson, Patrick Michael Lawrence, two sisters, Siddie Caldwell and Georgia Vance, four brothers Carl, Jim, Leet, and John Vance. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois (Williamson) Vance, two daughters Terry Marie Coleman and her husband Eddie of Navarre, OH, and Pearl Vance Lawrence and her husband Mike of Patriot, OH; two granddaughters Katharine V. Lawrence of Patriot, OH, and Angela Robinson and her husband Jason of Beach City, OH; one grandson Lucas Lawrence and his wife Katharine of Edmonton, Canada; one sister Millie Tomblin of Lavalette, WV; one brother Franklin Vance and his wife Arlene of Huntington, WV; two sisters-in-law Opal Vance of Greensboro, NC and Violet Vance of Huntington, WV; many loving nieces and nephews, church family, and many friends; a very special sister-in-law Vonn and her husband Dean Basham of Massillon, OH. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd NE., Massillon, Ohio 44646. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral Home.
