Tammi Lynn Tunning

Tammi Lynn Tunning (TT) 62 years old, passed away on October 16th, 2020, in Massillon, Ohio, of natural causes. Born on May 30th, 1958, in Massillon, Ohio. Daughter of the late Joseph Glenn Tunning and Shelba (Shelly) Jean Tunning. Tammi worked as a direct care staff at VOCA working with individuals with special needs. She worked up to a manager position at VOCA and transferred to Carolina group homes working as a manager. She had a special place in her heart working with individuals with disabilities and loved working with them. She later on retired and traveled with family and friends. Along with being a loving daughter, sister, and aunt, Tammi was a fur mom who cared for her two little ones, Max and May-May on a daily basis as well as being their companions, they were hers. Tammi was a fun, loving, caring, supportive and beautiful person. She was a social person who had several close friends who loved her dearly, in Ohio, North Carolina and Florida. She loved the beach. Her favorite place to be was in Sarasota, Florida soaking up the sun with her toes in the sand having the warm salt water splash her while feeling the warm breeze sweep across her face. She loved spending time with her family and friends when she could. Tammi also loved traveling in her younger and healthier days. She mostly loved going to Florida but also enjoyed going to Mexico and traveling the islands. Tammi loved going on cruises and going to concerts. She loved going to the WNBA Charlotte Sting games and would take her two nieces along with her two nephews when they were in town. She would have loved to take baby Jordan as well if he has still been on this earth. Tammi loved going to the Massillon Tiger games when she could just like her family did. Tammi loved watching sports and traveling to see her favorite WNBA and NBA teams play. She was a devoted aunt and was a family oriented person who loved going to family reunions to socialize with her family members. She also had a special nickname which was TT in which she was called by close family and she was even called this by her friends. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Glenn Tunning, her mother Shelba Jean Tunning (Patterson), her sister Kelly Jo Baker (Tunning) that we lost earlier this year, her nephew Jordan Thomas Baker, and her family childhood friend Mandy Simon. She was survived by her life long friend David Star, her brother Glenn Scott Tunning, her sister Lorri Anne Tunning-Becker, her nephew Joshua Todd Baker, her niece Brittney Kay Barnes (Tunning) and husband Matthew Ryan Barnes, her nephew Jeremy Joseph Baker and girlfriend Kelly Lee King, her niece Corri-Anne Nicole Tunning (Becker) and wife Alexis Faith Tunning (Popovich), her best friend of 41 years Cathy Beck and her friend Amy Diane Hickman, her great nieces and nephews Isaiah Thomas Baker, Jordan Keira Barnes, Kenadi Barnes and Logan Matthew Barnes and her two chihuahuas Mr. Max Factor (Max) and Ms. Maybelline (May-May), as well as many other close friends, new and old that she has gained over her lifetime. Tammi was an amazing person overall and she will forever be missed by everyone whose hearts she has touched in her life. Rest easy and in peace. We love you TT. Until we meet again.
