Sylvia Sophia Bubenchik

Sylvia Sophia Bubenchik, 91 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Sylvia was born on August 6, 1926 in Barberton, the daughter of the late John and Jennie (Dolinchek) Podlipec. She spent most of her life in Massillon. Sylvia retired from the Ansell Health Care Products Inc. formerly the Perry Rubber Company. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and spending time with her family. Sylvia was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milo Bubenchik in 2012; her sisters, Jennie Simmons and Donnie Stenger and her brother, John Podlipec. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Tim (Kathryn) Bubenchik, Nancy Brannon, and Rich (Lori) Bubenchik; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. A Celebration of Sylvia’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Massillon. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12 - 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of Stark County or Christ Lutheran Church.
