Sylvia Reger

Sylvia Ann Reger, age 95, of Massillon passed away Tuesday July 28, 2009 at Altercare of Navarre Health Center where she had been a resident for the past six years. She was born November 4, 1913 in Spencer, WV to the late Heaston and Jesse Marie (Post) Marple. In addition to her parents Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband James Clyde Reger on August 31, 1979, after 44 years of marriage. Also preceding her in death were a daughter Anna L. Smith, two brothers, Victor and Ray Marple, two sisters Rella Davis and Edna Epling, and a grandson, James Pappas. Survivors include three daughters Linda L. (Al) Miller of Massillon, Connie S. (Phil) Pappas of Huntington, WV, and Sandra J. (Victor) De La Cruz of Sunset Beach, NC; also eleven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; one brother Denzel Marple of Lakeland, FL. Funeral services will be at the Boyle Funeral Home in Weston, WV on Saturday August 1st at 1:00 P.M. with her nephew, James Epling officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery, Lost Creek, WV The family wishes to express thanks to the many caregivers at Altercare of Navarre, OH and Hospice of Mercy Medical of Canton, OH.
