Sylvia M. Saurer

Sylvia M. Saurer, 97, of Massillon, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015. She was born on July 11, 1917 in North Lawrence, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Henry and Esther (Grosjean) Hodgson. Along with her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Saurer and her sister Mary Shanklin, her brother-in-law Robert Shanklin and her nephew Robert Shanklin. She is survived by nephews, Jack (Jane) Shanklin and Gary (Jetta) Shanklin, nieces Judy Shankle and Janet (John) Krug and several other nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will take place for the family. There are no calling hours. The family would like to thank the staff at Amherst Meadows and Harbor Light Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
