Sydney Mcinnes

Sydney Nikole McInnes, age 10, of Massillon passed away Tuesday at University Hospital of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She was born in Massillon July 17, 1998. Sydney was a member of the American Idol’s Cheerleading Squad. She loved boating and tubing with grandma and grandpa, and going to the fair with her dad. She also loved watching Full House. She is survived by her father Thomas (Lori) McInnes of Navarre, and mother Natalie (Mark) LaPorte of Massillon; siblings Christopher (Jodi) McInnes of Wadsworth, Brooke Rice, Jordan Nussbaum both of Massillon, and Tyler Rice of the home, Brandon Resh of Navarre, Jarid Rice, and Rylie LaPorte both of the home, and Katelynn Feemster of Canton; niece Alexis Ditch; grandparents Martin and Ann Rice (Mama & Papa), and Margaret LaPorte, all of Massillon, Dale and Joanne Resh of Navarre; great-grandmother Ova Maxson of Massillon; Aunts and Uncles Bim and Mimi McInnes, Marty Rice, Uncle Ricky and Tina McInnes, and Robert LaPorte all of Massillon, Leslie and Denny Doney of Dover, Lisa and Paul Hunter of Canton; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents Tom and Rita McInnes, Robert LaPorte, and great-grandmother Patricia Latham. A special thanks to all of Sydney’s Angels, doctors, nurses, and a very special thanks to teacher Peggy Cross, Miss Delolis, and Chario. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Rev. Leslie Peine will officiate. Burial will follow in Massillon Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Sydney’s name at First Merit Bank to help defray funeral and medical expenses.
