Susan M. Heiser

Susan M. Heiser, age 69 of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born in Massillon on May 23, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Paul and Geraldine (Wetter) Yerman. Susan graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1962 and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree at St. Scholastica College in Duluth, MN. In 2006 she retired as the Director of Health Information at Akron General Hospital. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church where she was a Sacristin and trained student servers. She was a member of the American Health Information Association. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Yerman; infant brother, Fred Yerman and aunt, Helen Jogerst. She is survived by her son Seth (Lisa) Heiser, her sister-in-law, Jeanne Yerman her nieces and nephews, Michelle Yerman, Paul Yerman, Monica Hamm, Melissa Yerman and Pamela Yerman and her grandchildren and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Barbara Catholic Church. Burial of her cremated remains will be at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the Mass. Memorials may be made to St. Barbara Catholic Church in the name of Susan M. Heiser.
