Susan C. Whetstone

Susan C. Whetstone, a loving wife and mother age 59 of Massillon, passed away suddenly Friday, August 17, 2012 following a long battle of Chrones Disease. Susan was born on August 27, 1952 in Massillon the daughter of the late Fredrick and Cordelia (Hurley) Barr. She was a 1970 graduate of Tuslaw High School and was employed at Phoenix/Sunoco Packaging for the past 14 years. Susan loved to shop for antiques, going to craft shows and planting flowers. She was a mother to everyone. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Emma Harper, Erma Young, Murial Barr and her brother Henry David Barr. She is survived by her husband Lewis S. Whetstone of 42 years of marriage; her sons, David and Eric Whetstone; her brother, Fred (Georgiana) Barr; her sister, Stella (Carl) Starcher; her niece and nephew, Melissa and Mark Harper; and many friends and other family members.
