Steven “Craig” Price, age 60, passed away on August 6th, with his family by his side at Compassionate Care Center at Aultman Woodlawn, after a short and very aggressive battle with colon cancer. He kept his faith and humor while fighting until his last breath. Born on August 6, 1962 to Gary and Georgia Price. Craig was raised in Massillon, Ohio. He graduated from Massillon Washington High School in 1980 and earned a bachelor degree in Business Management from Stark State College. Craig cheered on the Massillon Tigers, especially during rival week; he and his work friends who were Canton McKinley fans (boo!) enjoyed that camaraderie each fall. He also liked watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers, and the Browns, even when they let him down, which was often. He loved to be outside, especially boating and fishing. Luckily he kept his day job as he never caught many fish, but he enjoyed it none the less. Every year he looked forward to camping at Cook Forest National Park in Pennsylvania with his fiancé Clara, their children and grandchildren. As the King of Dad jokes, Craig was quick witted and very funny- always making people around him laugh, even his family, whom often rolled their eyes during the “Corny Craigisms”. He was also full of wisdom, random knowledge and had an answer for every question; his daughter Megan and son Dustin will tell you he was the smartest person they knew.Craig worked for 27 years at Synchrony Bank where he held several roles over the years. He was a friendly face to many, a much loved co-worker and will be missed tremendously. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, but especially by his devoted and loving fiancé of 22 years Clara Hoskinson; his children- Megan Pentello (Cotey Coreno), Dustin Price, Christina (Randy) Mills, and Ricky Hoskinson Jr.; grandchildren- Justin Mills, Ryan Mills, Dante Hoskinson and Kimber Hoskinson; parents- Gary and Georgia Price; siblings- John (Kim) Price and Michelle (Tom) Tomic; niece- Jenni (Brian Busto) Price; nephews- Johnny (Erin) Price, Tyler (Anna Sims) Tomic, Trent (Kaitlyn Jones) Tomic; 4 great nieces, 5 great nephews; pets- Miss Kitty and Looney Luna; a host of extended family and friends. Craig is preceded in death by his granddaughter- Maylana Hoskinson; his niece- Hanna Tomic; his dogs- loyal and smart Max, Murph-A-Durph and pretty, pretty princess Mya. A Celebration of Craig's life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 7p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5p.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to encourage timely colonoscopy / endoscopy testing as early detection of cancers and prevention. The family would like to thank the staff of Aultman Compassionate Care Hospice for their exceptional care of Craig and the family during his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations of cash value or meals be given in his memory to the Compassionate Care Center at Aultman Woodlawn- 2821 Woodlawn Ave NW Canton, Oh 44708-1423
