Steve Yablonski, age 89 of Massillon passed away Monday July 21, 2014 at Aultman's Compassionate Care Center. Steve was born August 9, 1924 in Canton to the late Thomas & Mary Yablonski and was a graduate of McKinley High School. During World War II, he served in the Army in Europe. Steve retired as a supervisor for Timken Roller Bearing Company after 39 years of service. Following retirement he enjoyed bowling, golf and was a starter at Tam O'Shanter Golf Course for 15 years. His grandchildren will always remember his teasing them and his canine friend 'angel'. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers: Ann Tozzi, Stella Beacon, Mike, John and Stan Yablonski. Steve is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia (Clark) Yablonski and two sons and daughters in law: Tom and Mona Yablonski of Somerdale, OH and Steve and Donna Yablonski Jr. of Massillon. There are seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon. Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate.
