Stephen Porter Glenn, age 65 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on March 27, 2015. He was born on February 03, 1950 to the late Robert and Birdeene (Porter) Glenn in Zanesville, Ohio. He grew up on the family farm in McConnelsville, Ohio. He moved to Canton at the age of 12, and graduated from Timken High School in 1968. He married Debra (Arnold) Cavender on February 14, 1977 and they were remarried on March 30, 2013. Stephen graduated from Stark Technical College in 1992 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked as a Tooling Engineer for Diebold. Stephen will be remembered by his peers as a talented engineer and a compassionate friend. He strived to satisfy his customers and loved having a challenging design project on his plate. During his 7 ½ years at Diebold he designed countless solutions to assist in assembly processes and ensure a quality product delivered. These solutions are being used in many locations all around the world. He would also spend his time on evenings and weekends to entertain colleagues visiting from other countries, and they were always very appreciative. Whenever his signature greeting "Buddy!" is heard, his memory will live forever in our hearts. He loved riding his motorcycles. He is a proud recipient of the Iron Butt Association Certificate recognizing the World's Toughest Motorcycle Riders, riding a 1000 miles in less than 24 hours. He navigated the 318 curves in 11 miles of "Tail of the Dragon" at Deals Gap, North Carolina. He was ordained a preacher by The Universal Life Church officiating many weddings. Stephen was known as a mentor and life teacher. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He is survived by his loving wife Debra; his children Tina (James) Simms, Stephen (Annelies) Glenn and Melissa (Steven) Monte; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law Valerie (Arnold) Cavender; his niece Rachel Smith as well as a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his first wife Rita May Webster.
