Stephen Mike Luther

Stephen “Mike” Luther, age 52 of Canton, passed away Thursday May 28, 2009 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on June 29, 1956 in Canton the son of Stephen and Josephine Luther. Stephen lived in the area his entire life. He worked for Furbay Electric as a delivery driver, a student drivers’ education teacher for Myers Driving School and also as a part-time bus driver for Northwest Local Schools. He was an active member of Highpoint Church in Clinton. Mike enjoyed following NASCAR and working on muscle cars. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen John Luther in 1985. He is survived by his mother, Josephine Luther of Canton; his children, Stephen J. and Megan E. Luther both of Canal Fulton; his step-daughter, Abby N. Kiplinger of Canal Fulton; his former spouse, Tammy Marthey of Canal Fulton; his brother, Mark (Cathy) Luther of Louisville; his aunts, Sister Julie Demchak and Midge Demchak both of N. Canton and his uncle, Fred Luther of Duluth, MN. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 12:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pastors Rob Kasler and Chuck Schumacher will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 P.M and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
