Stephanie J. McGinnis, 73, of Massillon, passed away on March 30, 2024 at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Center.

She was born on January 7, 1951 to the late Hank and Rita (VonBeseler) Niezgoda of Painesville, OH.

Stefi was a graduate of Central Catholic School, Class of 1968. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, The Red Hat Society, Stark County Chapter of AARP, and various card clubs. She was dedicated to her vast circle of family and friends. Stefi was an avid Tiger Football supporter. She loved her cats, Lady Bug and Trapper. She loved to travel, especially to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Stefi’s life was filled with color, from her creative outfits and recipes to her favorite music and everything in between. She never knew a stranger and would always look for ways to care for those around her.

Stefi is survived by her loving children, Allen McGinnis and Erin (Jen Norwood) McGinnis; grandchildren, Autumn (Tanner Stackhouse) McGinnis, Miranda (Matt) Musick, Daniel McGinnis, Ryan (Renee) Beck, Nathan (Jaidyn) Beck, Michael Norwood, and Nick Norwood; great-grandchildren, Kael, Will, Karlee, and Bella; siblings, Teri Dew, Niki (Richard) Green, Sheila Niezgoda, Von Niezgoda, Julie (Steve) Niezgoda-Toth, and Frank (Kathy) Niezgoda; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pete McGinnis, and brothers Mark Niezgoda and Duke Niezgoda.

Visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Massillon area the evening of June 14. More details will be shared at a later time.

Memorial contributions may be made to Life Banc and/or the Coshocton County Animal Shelter & HATA.
