Stephan A. Yakubisin

Stephan A. Yakubisin, 68 of Canton, passed away at home on early Sunday morning, July 30, 2017. He was born on July 13, 1949 in El Paso, Texas and was the son of Joseph and Helena (Moserova) Yakubisin. They preceded him in death. He served his country with the U.S. Marines during the Viet Nam Conflict. He retired from Progressive Chevrolet in the sales department. Steve was married to Sandra L. (Greig) Yakubisin for 41 years until her death on January 24, 2014. He is survived by his daughters, Erica (Matt Walulik) Yakubisin and Amy (Tom) Kimble, his grandchildren, Saige, Cassidy, Brandon , Ava and Ally, his sisters, Jan Yakubisin and Maria Pinti and his in-laws Paul and Barb Grieg. Steve’s family would like to thank his caregiver for making his last few months much more comfortable. A celebration of Steve’s life will take place on Thursday at Grace Baptist Church, 5050 Middlebranch Avenue N.E. in Canton at 12:00 Noon. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:00 am- 11:30 am. Memorials may be made in Steve’s name to your favorite charity.
