Stella L. 'Skip' Cantrell

Stella L. “Skip” Cantrell, age 68, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Massillon June 19, 1941 the daughter of the late Anthony and Irene (Skibicki) DeMando. Stella was employed with J.M. Smuckers retiring in 1995. She was a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church. Stella enjoyed reading, and puzzles but most of all she loved caring for, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her dog Nikki. Surviving Stella are her children Whitney “Mike” (John) Ortiz- Cicconetti of Dalton, Tim (Janine) Ortiz, and Rick (Linda) Cantrell both of Massillon; brothers Joseph “Butch” DeMando of Massillon, and Anthony “Tony” DeMando Jr. of Cleveland; sister Joann “Tiny” Barnhart of Lawrence Twp.; granddaughter Gabriela “Gabby” Cicconetti. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 22nd from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. followed by a memorial service at 10:30 A.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Father Steve Moran will officiate.
