September 18, 1971 — July 31, 2015

Stacy L. Gardner, 43, of Jackson Township, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Friday, July 31, 2015. Stacy was born on September 18, 1971 in Wiesbaden, Germany, to George and Jerri (Koher) Helmreich. She graduated from Washington High School in 1989, received a B.A in Psychology from Malone University and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Akron. She practiced as a counselor (LPCC) at Aultman North Canton Medical Group. Stacy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, friend, and counselor. She was a talented musician and enjoyed her time in the Massillon Tiger Swing Band and Jazz Ensemble. She had a beautiful singing voice and performed solos at church and weddings. Stacy was a gifted writer and was recognized as the Top English student at Washington High School in her senior year. She was a finalist for Miss Massillonian. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed scrapbooking with her friends. She had a heart for serving others; for example, she served in the children's ministry, Alopecia Areata Support Group, the Massillon Educational Loan Foundation as president, outreach activities through church and community. Stacy had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She was very empathetic and caring and showed her love for people in a variety of ways. Stacy is survived by her husband of 20 years, Mike; daughter, Mikayla; son, Nate; parents, George and Jerri Helmreich; sister, Cory (Todd) Ray; Mike's grandmother, Mary Griffith; Mike's parents, Tim and Mary Gardner; Mike's brother, Rick (Crystal) Gardner and nieces and nephews, Ashton, Noah, Dylan Seth and Luke. Friends may call Thursday 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in North Canton and the service will be at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
