Simon Moser Jr., 79, of Massillon, passed away Wednesday morning October 7, 2009 at Aultman Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born September 19, 1930 in Wayne County, Ohio to the late Simon and Edith (O’dell) Moser. Simon was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. having served during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a roofer for the Ray Roofing Company for 40 years. He was a member of the Massillon Church of Christ. Simon is survived by his wife of 54 years, Olive (Sees); his son and daughter- in- law Steve and Jane Moser of Massillon; his daughters and sons- in- law Sheryl and Mike Atchison of Tennessee, and Heather and Stephen Lindenberger of Massillon; four grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson; his brother Daniel Moser of Massillon. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Simon loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his garden, collecting locks and keys, and photographing his grandchildren. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 P.M. at Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home with Glenn Hawkins, Lance Lindenberger and Bill Craddock officiating. Interment will follow in Brookfield Cemetery.
