Shirley Sue Dunbar

Shirley Sue (Holt) Dunbar, age 77, of Navarre, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Shirley was born in 1938 in Wallace, WV the daughter of William and Miriam (Harbert) Holt, Sr. She came to Ohio in 1941. She was a 1956 graduate of Jackson Memorial in Massillon. She lived most of her life in Navarre as a mother, and homemaker. Shirley was truly loved by her family and friends and enjoyed her home, and liked being creative. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Nile G Dunbar, Jr. in 2015, her granddaughter, Amber Dunbar in 2011, her brother William Holt, Jr. and her sister Marlene Blaine. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie L (Ronald) Shine; her granddaughter, Kathleen "Katie" M. (Andy) Harter; her grandsons Cody W. and Casey A. Dunbar; her great-granddaughter, Ivy Makara Randles; her sister, Gloretta (Richard) Jones; her brother Gary (Faith) Holt; her sister-in-law, Eva Holt; numerous nieces and nephews and their children; her friend, Jane Schaffer and her son, Ben (Marie) Heganderfer; A Celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 12 p.m. (Noon) at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Pastor David West will be officiating. Burial will follow at Union Lawn Cemetery.
