Shirley Renee Bradley

Shirley R. Bradley, 57 of Canton, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Shirley was born on November 12, 1959 in Massillon, the daughter of Herman and Josephine (Ross) Dixon, Jr. She was a lifelong resident of the Massillon area and a 1978 graduate of Washington High School. Shirley attended Ohio State University and would go on to work for the U.S. Department of Defense School. Most recently she was employed as an intervention specialist for Massillon City Schools. She was passionate about helping the local youth in her community and many would come to know her as "Mama Bradley". Shirley thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; and took great joy in the happiness her children and grandchildren provided her. Her hobbies included traveling, cooking and reading. Most of all she was a fervent follower of Jesus Christ and was diligent about spreading His love to all she met. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Dixon, Jr. and brothers, LaFonse Darney Dixon, Sr. and Avonte Vonrue Dixon. She is survived by her mother, Josie Dixon of Massillon; special friend and father of her children, Dennis Bradley of Massillon; children, Dean (Amanda) Bradley of North Ridgeville, OH and Shandenara L. Bradley of Kent, OH; grandchildren, Jordan, Tyson, and Nya Bradley; and sister, Evangalene Dixon of Massillon as well as many, beloved, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home: 1100 Wales Rd. N.E., Massillon.
