Shirley M. Ruggieri

Shirley M. Ruggieri, age 84 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday January 4, 2012. Shirley was born April 7, 1927 in Massillon to the late John & Veronica (Meeting) Hoffner and was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School. She will be remembered as a gracious and thoughtful person. One who put her family above herself, and still would help others. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew (1979); daughter, Veronica Ruggieri Hunter (1971); infant sister, Ernestine and brother, Robert Hoffner (2000). Shirley is survived by her three children and their spouses, Michael & Linda Ruggieri, Barbara & Dennis Maybee and Beth Ruggieri; three grandchildren, Christopher Ruggieri, Danielle Maybee and Jessica Maybee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
