Shirley G. Shoemaker age 77, of Navarre passed away May 16, 2012. Shirley was born September 15, 1934 in Massillon to the late Donald & Margaret (Stuhldreher) Scott and was a 1953 graduate of Washington High School. She retired from the Rittman IGA. Shirley was active in the Canton Women's Bowling Association and the Skyland Pines Thursday Night Bowling League. As a loving Grandma, she attended all their activities and enjoyed being with them. She was a loyal Indians Fan, win or lose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Cunningham; brother, David Scott; infant brother, Tom and former husband, Ben Shoemaker. Shirley will be missed by her four children; Cayce (Gary) Burkholder, Scott (Robin) Shoemaker, Ian Shoemaker and Sherwood (Wendy) Shoemaker; two brothers, Donald Scott and Robert Scott; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Elizabeth (Lizzie) and Kenny Burkholder; Ory, Christian, Karlton, Jack & Danielle Shoemaker. Funeral Service will be 10 AM Monday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 PM at the funeral home.
