Shirley Ann Dietz

Shirley Ann Dietz, 81, of Massillon, passed away January 6, 2025. Shirley was born in Massillon, Ohio, on May 31, 1943, to the late Jim and Gladys Yohn, sister to Jim and Joe Yohn. 

Shirley was from the class of 1961 at Massillon Washington High School. She worked as a waitress at Friendly's for 30 years. Shirley enjoyed going to the cabin (Camp), fishing, riding motorcycles, and taking car rides. Shirley also liked crocheting, painting ceramics, bird watching, and spending time gardening. Most of all, she loved to hear her children sing to her. Shirley had a strong sense of faith, and covered the ones she loved in prayer daily.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Richard "Dick" Dietz; children, Mick (Dorothy) Dietz, Scott (Jeanie) Dietz, Polly (Bob) Kirk, Terry (Chuck) Kassinger, Tim (Lisa) Dietz, and Kelly (Brian) Bruce; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many more family and friends.

Visiting hours will take place from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Paquelet Funeral Home with a funeral service directly following at 12:00pm.
