Shirley D. Lambert

Shirley D. Lambert, age 79 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on September 18, 1931 in Stanwood, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Levi and Leona (Pfister) Swonger. She was a member of Lighthouse Chapel Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Lambert on July 1, 1996, her brother Vearl Swonger and her sisters, Mary Ellen Jones, Lois McElhaney, Arlene Crow, Dorothy Singer and Clara Jean Troyer She is survived by her daughters; Cynthia (Bill) Orsborne of Germantown, OH and Becky (Michael) Kress of Uniontown, OH, her sons; John (Gloria) Baker of Massillon and Jim (Debby) Baker of Massillon, 8 grandchildren and10great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Jane Brown, Leona Hudy, Florence Walsh and her brothers Willard and Eddie Swonger. A service to celebrate the life of Shirley Lambert will take place on Thursday at 7:00 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor Durwin Burtz officiating. Cremation will follow and her cremated remains will be interred at Eden Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-7 P.M.
