Shirley Ann Baker

Shirley A. Baker, age 66 of Massillon, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 18, 2021. She was born on June 03, 1955 to Verdella (Jones) and the late Jim Baker in Montgomery, Alabama. She was a 1974 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. Shirley worked as a Hall Monitor for Massillon City School for over 35 years. She was lifetime member of Friendship Baptist Church, sang in the Choir and was a member of the Pastor’s Aid Committee. She enjoyed shopping, watching Dancing with the Stars and going to church. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Verdella; her brother Keith Baker; her nephew Keith (Erica) Baker II; her Aunt Alice Baker; her extended family that includes Karen, Ashley and Brandon Johnson; Best friends who she considered sisters in Christ; Clora Stinson, Yvonne Daniels and Dolores Miller as well as a host of family, her church family and friends. A Homegoing Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at Friendship Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 12 noon. Pastor Walter J. Arrington will be officiating.
