Shirley A. Peters

Shirley A. Peters, age 70 of Massillon passed away Tuesday November 11, 2008 at Affinity Medical Center. Shirley was born November 19, 1937 to the late Frederick & Lillia (Lenhart) Eggenschwiler. She was a 1955 graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and volunteered with the soup kitchen. Her private time was watching her grandchildren, and attending their school activities. She was proud to be a Tiger season ticket holder and attended as many games as possible. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Peters (1987), and her step-father George Pagenkopf (1977). Shirley is survived by two daughters and sons in law: Donna & Roger Fulks and Barb & Rick Wadian, sister Linda Jones, a step brother Duane (Therese) Pagenkopf. In addition there are four grandchildren; Danielle Fulks, Jason (Mandy) Fulks, Joe (Mandy) Welk & Dillon Welk; four great grandchildren; Darrian, Jeffrey, Nathan, Jyllien Welk and another granddaughter due in February. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, her pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
