Shirley A. Carter, 70, of Jackson Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in Akron, Ohio. She was born on June 28, 1945 in Akron and was the daughter of the late John and Icie (Hunt) Coda. Shirley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Along with her husband, they were joint owners of Business Forms Plus in Akron, Ohio. After retirement, they fulfilled their dreams by traveling, visiting their children and grandchildren, and working on projects around the home. She filled her time with reading, spending quality time with her family, and working on her flower gardens and beautiful backyard. She provided loving support and friendship to her daughters, friends and neighbors. We will miss her comfort, advice, her laugh and smile, and positive demeanor. Jim tells everyone that she is the "best thing that ever happened to me" and called her the Boss. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Odum, Betty Miller and Wanda Cooper. She is survived by her husband, James D. Carter, her daughters, Christine (Michael) Sicker, Jennifer (Jeff) Ulmen and Danielle (Michael) Scharf.
