Sharon Elaine Hill-Green, age 54, received her wings from the Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Massillon, Ohio on September 6, 1965, daughter of the late Ernest and Shirley Hill. She was a 1983 graduate of Massillon Washington High School and went on to Stark Tech (Stark State College) to earn her degree in Social Work. She was a faithful employee of 20 years as a Senior Specialist, Cross Functional Complaints for Synchrony Financial. Her passions were drawing, painting, design and decorating, party planning, crafts, shopping for herself and everyone she knows, and taking care of others. She was a devoted softball coach for many years when the kids were coming up and also played softball and volleyball with her Synchrony colleagues. Her loving, nurturing soul gave her the ability to be like her mother; always offering a place to stay or a plate of food to those in need. Her smile would light up a room and her genuine energy always let you know she was there to lend an ear, give advice, or make you laugh. She was the light at the end of tunnel for some, always seeing the positive side of any situation. Sharon was truly a blessing to everyone she encountered and to know her was to love her. She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, Seymour and Elsie Mae Stephens, paternal grandmother, Ludelia Gulley, her father-in-law, Johnny Gulley, niece, Tahara Lynn Hill, best friends, Holly Williams and Jackie Fitch. She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Alphonso Green, children, Elise Burrows (Columbus, OH) and Anthony P. Burrows II (Chicago, IL); Gerald Owens, Martez Marshall, Alphonso Green Jr. and honorary daughter/niece, Sabryn Hill; siblings, Eyvonne Hill, Ernest (Michelle) Hill, and Raquel Hill; nephew, Stephon Hill; nieces, Jalessa Brown, Shanice Brown, Shatara Hill, Sydney Harris; great-nephew, Jayce Campos-Brown and great-nieces, Perasia Hopson and Jae’Lyn McCallup; grandchildren, Giselle Owens and Ty’Jae Marshall; mother-in-law, Isabell Gulley; brother-in-law, Kenny Gulley; sister-in-laws, Tersia Hall, Shirley Green, Barbara (Gary) Clay, Chrystal Gulley, and Nickie Gulley. In addition, Sharon will be sadly missed by her long time friends that she loved as sisters, Danita Stafford, Angela Jackson, Peggy Floyd, and Karen King, her children’s father and life long friend, Anthony Burrows Sr., her God children, Jay’Mier Laston, Donald Jackson II, and Julian Jackson, and her honorary children, Brandon Fogle, Aaron Bond, James Boykin, Fallon Hammond, Misty Clark, Devon Reynolds, Chase Gibson, Axaviar Burrows, Chyann Mery and Triana Williams, and a host of loving family and friends. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
