Sarah Wiley

Sarah Wiley, 96, of Massillon died on January 17, 2009, at Aultman Hospital. Born on May 4, 1912, in Jonestown, MS, daughter of the late Byrd and Betty (Gates) Jones, she retired from Manteno State Hospital in Illinois. Sarah was a hard worker and a woman who held the principles of family and honesty in high regard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sandy Wiley; two sisters, Rachael Dampier and Irene Hightower; and three brothers, L.C. Jones, Byrd Jones, and Matthew Jones. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Lily R. Thompson of Memphis, TN, as well as two sisters-in- law, Eleanor Jones and Adrienne Jones; a special nephew, Robert (Debra) Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Sarah's life celebration will be at noon Saturday, January 24, at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon; Rev. Anthony Robinson will officiate. The Massillon Cemetery will serve as Sarah's final resting place. Friends may call on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
