Sarah E. Thompson peacefully passed away on October 6, 2021, following a brief illness. She was born on August 8, 1943 in Montgomery, AL to Noah and Pastoria (Washington) Thomas. Sarah was a 1961 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and retired from the Canton City Public School System. She was a member of the Lesh Rd. North East Congregation, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Women’s Canton Rotary Club. She was dedicated to her family and her faiths field work. She is survived by her children, Jamice Thompson and Jamon Thompson; her step-son, Jerry Brunner; eleven grandchildren, Trevon, Jamon II, Cameron, Kailey, Kyra, Joi, Jamariya, Tanisha, Denina, Micah and Shaunta; a host of great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Mary Williams, Jessie Thomas, Eunice Higgs, Elhanna Thomas, Noah Thomas, Evon “Woody” Thomas and Barbara Brown. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Thompson; daughter, Jeanne Thompson; and sister, Essie Hendrix. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 12:00pm-1:00pm with a Celebration of Sarah’s Life at 1:00pm in the funeral home that will be livestreamed by clicking on this zoom link . Entombment will be at North Lawn Cemetery.
