Sarah E. 'Susie' Ketler

Sarah E. “Susie” Ketler, age 80 of Navarre, passed away at her residence Wednesday morning. She was born on October 22, 1926 in Burlington, NC to the late Dr. Franklin and Magie (Morris) Evans. Susie was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple for over 45 years where she was a choir member, Sunday School Teacher and nursery worker. She enjoyed reading her Bible, spending time with her family and being a prayer warrior on the behalf of others. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Susie is survived by her husband, Raymond F. Ketler with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage on August 14, 2006; son and daughter-in-law Darrell L. (Bonnie) Ketler of Massillon; daughters and son-in-law, Marcella Yoho and Cindy (Dennis) Smith both of Massillon; sister, Anna Myers of Winston Salem, NC; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services celebrating Susie’s life will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Arnold – Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon with her pastor Rev. Cecil E. Thayer officiating. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow the services at Newman Creek Cemetery in North Lawrence.
