Sandra L. Yakubisin

Sandra L. (Greig) Yakubisin. We lost Sandy after a long and courageous battle with cancer on January 24, 2014. While we lost her in body; her love, memories, spirit, and zest for life will live on with her family, friends, and coworkers. Sandy was born in Akron, Ohio on August 10, 1947. She will be especially missed by her loving husband of 41 years, Steve; her memories will be cherished by her daughters Erica Yakubisin (Matt Walulik) and Amy (Tom) Kimble; her grandchildren, Saige, Cassidy, Brandon, and Ava who have been the love and pride of her life as well as the force behind her fighting spirit to survive to help nurture their growth into adulthood; her parents David and Ruby (Hunt) Greig; her brother, Paul (Barb) Greig of Akron; her sister-in-laws, Jan Yakubisin and Maria (Dan) Pinti and their families, and the uncles, aunts, cousins, and neighbors that have been important to her in life; her lifelong Kenmore High friends, Nancy, Sherry, and Roberta who have been faithful in their support during her illness; her coworkers and school students at Jackson Middle School; and numerous other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Sandra's life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at River Tree Christian Church in Jackson Twp. Rev Dan Pinti will be Officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. before the service. Please dress in casual clothing. Luncheon will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity, ASPCA, or the Cancer Relief Fund of the North Canton Medical Foundation, 6046 Whipple Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44720, to help other families in their battles with his horrible disease.
