Sandra L. Hathaway

Sandra L. Hathaway, 61, of Canton, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021. Sandy was born on August 21, 1959, in Massillon, the daughter of the late Dillon and Reva (Randolph) Casto. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1977 graduate of the Massillon Christian School. Sandy worked for the Durabilt Construction Company as a drafter. She loved spending time outdoors, where she could be found camping, fishing, and gardening. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, James Walters III and Steven Hartleben; and her sister, Karen Carpenter. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne T. Hathaway whom she shared 29 years of marriage on February 8th; children, Wayne D. Hathaway, David (Tonja) Walters, William Hathaway, and Victoria Hathaway; grandchildren, Tyler, and Haley Hathaway, Zayda Adam, Ava Hathaway, Wesley Walters, James Morgan, Rammonah Mitchell, and Serenity Hartleben; sister Diane (David) Cummings; brother Dean Casto; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Sandy’s life will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 3 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home.
