Sandra (Muzi) Gardner passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 after her courageous battle with cancer at home surrounded by her immediate family. She will be in the loving embrace of Jesus as she joins those who preceded her in death; her mother and father, Dolores and Louis Muzi, and her nephew Jake Keane. Sandy was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and the St. Thomas School of Nursing. She spent her life caring for others and was always praying for those who needed healing. Sandy had a strong faith in God and studied the Bible faithfully. She had a long career as a nurse, spreading love and kindness to everyone she met. Sandy practiced and owned a massage therapy business, where she continued to use her experience and gentle spirit to help others. Sandy is survived by her children, Thomas (Pam) Gardner, and Jennifer (fiancée Paul Schell) Riley; grandchildren, Andrew and Jordan Gardner and Michael and Nicholas Riley (their father, Mike Riley); brothers and sisters, Rosie Slinger, Chuck (Pat) Muzi, Pam (Sam) Manderine, Greg (Cindy) Muzi, and Theresa Thorn; and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful loving friends. A private family Celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at a later date. Sandy would want you to find your connection with the Lord. For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord – Jeremiah 29:11. Memorial contributions may be made in Sandy's name to either the Cleveland Clinic Hospice or a charity of one's choice.
