Samuel Philip Hittle, 52, died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on his way home from work on February 21, 2014. He was born in Lima to William S. Hittle of Lima and the late Helen I. (Alspaugh) Hittle. Sam was a loving husband and a wonderful father. He loved God, his country and his family. A proud veteran, he served his country in The United States Army. Sam was employed by Wayne Dalton in Mt. Hope. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Sam was always happy, smiling and there to help. He was a most honest hard working man and so proud of his life with his wife Kelly. His time here was too short and he will be missed by everyone whose life he touched and by all those who loved him so much. He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly (Eber) Hittle; children Dustin Hittle, Leann Hittle and Brittany Dean Hittle; his siblings Delila Brewster, Rebecca Zimmerman, Billy and Daniel Hittle, Martha (Kay) Reser, Melinda Alsept, John Hittle, Laura Kindle, Anna Rice and Timothy Hittle; aunt May Ehrnsberger; many nieces , nephews and cousins; mother and father-in-law Judy and Howard Bennett. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 10:00AM at the Faith Lutheran Church, Massillon, Pastor Elaina Style, officiating. Burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman on Thursday at 2:30PM.
